Will your dream happen? There are two determining factors.

When it comes to creating the life or career you’ve always dreamed of, it’s important to be specific about what you want. The Law of Specificity teaches us that dreams don’t get activated with vague intentions. Just like you can’t ask a builder to create a “happy house,” you can’t ask Life for a “good life.”

You have to be clear on the details of what you want.

Factor 1: Are You Harnessing the Law of Specificity?

You have the power to create the life or career change you desire. But to make it happen, you need to get specific. Life can only respond to clarity. If you want to build your dream career or transform your life, you must design it with crystal-clear vision. Think of it as writing a check to Life; you can’t just write “a happy life.” You must define what that means for you.

Be specific about your goals. The more detailed you are, the more Life will know how to give it to you.

Factor 2: Are You Willing to Commit to Your Dream?

When you take that step toward building your career or life transformation, Life might ask you to commit fully. Just like the man at the bank who had to sign the check, you have to sign your name to your dream. It’s easy to hesitate—“What if it doesn’t work out? What if I fail?”—but true transformation requires your full commitment.

You have to be willing to put yourself fully into it. Your sacred name, your sense of “I am,” carries power. Are you ready to sign your name to your dream? When you do, you signal to the Universe that you’re in alignment with your vision. The resources, opportunities, and people you need to make it happen will begin to appear.

When you decide to fully commit, you start attracting what’s needed to create the career or life change you desire.
