When it comes to pursuing a dream or goal, it’s crucial to ensure that it aligns with your true purpose and core values. A dream that isn’t in harmony with who you are at your core is unlikely to bring you fulfillment or success.
As Geoffrey Avert wisely said, “The most important thing about having a goal is having one.” The same applies to your dreams. Before you can bring your dream to life, you must first ensure that it truly fits who you are and the direction you want your life to take.
Here are five questions to help you determine whether your dream is the right one for you:
- Do you feel passionate about your dream?
When a dream is right for you, it will evoke strong emotions and a sense of aliveness. You’ll feel deeply connected to it on a personal level. - Does your dream align with your core values?
Your dream must resonate with your inner values. If your dream conflicts with what’s most important to you, it’s not the right one. - Does your dream challenge you to grow?
Dreams that push you out of your comfort zone and encourage personal growth are the ones worth pursuing. - Do you need help from a Higher Power?
A dream big enough to transform your life will often require help beyond what you can do on your own. If you already have all the answers, your dream might not be expansive enough. - Is your dream good for others?
The Universe thrives on expansion and growth. A dream that’s aligned with your true self will always include a positive impact on others, as well.
While your mind may be filled with various wishes and desires, it’s important to distinguish your deepest, most meaningful dream from passing whims. You have the power to choose the dream closest to your heart, and by co-creating with the Infinite, you can begin to manifest it into reality.
